The Prince of Egypt is a stage musical featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Philip LaZebnik, adapted from the 1998 DreamWorks animated film and the Book of Exodus. It follows Moses from his privileged life as a prince of Egypt to his destiny as a leader freeing the Hebrew people, highlighting his conflict with his adopted brother, Pharaoh Ramses.
